Mehreen joined the BCSR team as a Business Manager in 2021. She has a Master’s degree in Public Policy (2015) from the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science (2013) from the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers University. From 2018-2021, she worked as a Program Coordinator at the Clement A. Price Institute, Rutgers University-Newark. In her role, and through employee trainings offered by the university, she learned skills and processes related to procurement, accounting and budget maintenance, hiring and payroll processing, program and project support, office administration and communication. She worked closely with the Price Institute Director, staff and university offices to plan, secure funding for and deliver key programs to the community. 

Mehreen is passionate about access to education and enjoys learning about finance in a university setting. She has interned at the International Rescue Committee (NY Regional Office), the New Jersey Department of Education, and the Rutgers University Department of Nutritional Sciences. She has an advanced certificate from the Rutgers Sponsored Programs Academy for Continuing Education (S.P.A.C.E.).
