Custom Designed Research
BCSR tailors its services to meet the particular client's needs. This may involve a telephone survey with residents who live in a particular travel corridor, an in-person survey of New Jersey's homeless population, a mail survey or internet survey of a population who use a particular service, or focus group discussions with representatives of various agencies.
BCSR research staff work with the client to develop all research materials, including questionnaires and discussion guides. BCSR can develop new questionnaires, utilize ideas generated by the client, and develop instruments based on other materials. BCSR will also work with the client to determine the most appropriate sampling framework and selection of research participants. BCSR provides data collection services and data analysis and reporting services.
In some cases multiple research modes may be recommended. For example, focus group discussions can be used to develop items for a questionnaire. Studies requiring more involvement from participants may start off with an initial telephone contact followed by a mailed questionnaire or diary.
